Information about Higher Terrain classes and how to make the most of your workout with us.

How does the waitlist work?

If you have selected to be on the waitlist for a class, you will be notified at least 60 minutes prior to class if a spot has opened via text or email. Please make sure you have opted in to receive notifications by going to Schedule > My Account > Settings. If you unsubscribe from notifications from the studio when creating your profile or at any time after, you will not receive a notification from our system that you made it off the waitlist. Please make sure to keep notifications active on your account. If you can no longer attend this class, please cancel your reservation ASAP so that your spot can be given to the next person on the waitlist.

What if I’m late for class?

Out of respect for our instructors, and other students – If you do not show up for your reserved spot within 5 minutes of the start of class, it may be given to a standby student who is on the waitlist.

I’m recovering from an injury. Which class is best?

If you’re recovering from an injury, our Pilates Reformer | Classic class is the best class type to modify for injuries in a safe environment. However, all classes are designed for all levels. Please let the instructor know if you have an injury, and they will help give you modifications. We also offer, and recommend one-on-one private sessions to students who have injuries, or are new to Pilates, and Lagree.

What is the difference between our Pilates and Lagree classes?

Our Lagree Method class is performed on a Megaformer, and is a perfect fit for clients who love Pilates, but wish it was a more challenging workout. A Lagree workout is a high-intensity, full body workout, many of the exercises are performed standing on the Megaformer, and utilize multiple muscle groups within one exercise. Expect to shake, and work hard in a Lagree class!

Our Pilates Reformer | Classic class is a low impact, full body workout that uses deliberate, controlled movements to target core, and postural muscles. This class focuses on smaller muscles, and breathe to provide a workout that will sculpt, and tone, as well as improve flexibility.

What should I wear to class?

For your safety and for studio cleanliness, grip socks (that are sticky on the bottom) are required for our classes. If you don’t have any, you can purchase them from a wide variety at the studio. We recommend bringing your own towel, and water bottle. We sell water at the studio, but don’t offer towels.

What can I expect from my first class?

If this is your first class at Higher Terrain Fitness, please arrive 5 minutes before the class start time to get checked in, and allow the instructor to walk you through the use of your machine. Signing up for your first class requires a valid credit card on file. If you don’t have a credit card on file, your booking may be canceled.
