Our 45-minute LAGREE METHOD class combines strength training, cardio, balance, and high-intensity Pilates on a spring-loaded, momentum-free, resistance machine called the MEGAFORMER. SLOW and PRECISE movements are performed for 1-2 minute intervals carving LEAN muscles, crushing CORE muscles, and giving your body the CHALLENGE it craves in a low-impact environment. Our Megaformers are custom-built to allow for quick transitions and the most effective workout.

Our signature, full body Pilates class utilizes the Allegro 2 Pilates Reformer, Jump-board, and Pilates Chair for an invigorating workout that restores, strengthens, and tones the entire body. This class will define your core, sculpt your muscles and improve posture and flexibility.
AKA “High-Intensity Pilates” and “ Pilates on Steroids” the Lagree Method is actually quite different from Pilates. Pilates was created in the 1930s by Joseph Pilates and quickly became popular among dancers as a method of training and rehabilitation. “Pilates and the Lagree Method are two completely different workouts and methods, “ says Higher Terrain owner Jennifer Metcalf who also owns Flex Pilates Aspen, a boutique private Pilates studio in Aspen, Colorado. Lagree is performed on a Megaformer designed by Sebastien Lagree, Pilates is performed on a Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, or other various pieces of Pilates equipment designed by the namesake of Pilates, Joseph Pilates.
“The Lagree Method is a perfect fit for clients who love the core focus, and low impact, lengthening effects of Pilates, but wish it was a more challenging workout. A traditional Pilates exercise is typically performed using fewer repetitions, isolates muscles groups and incorporates stretching in a core and postural based workout. The Lagree Method exercises are performed for 1-2 minutes, utilize full-body movements, targets multiple muscle groups within one exercise, and focuses on muscle fatigue, targeting slow twitch muscle fibers to create a long, lean physique.”
